What is a Buddhist retreat? It is is an opportunity in your life to make contact with your inner self, a chance to get to know yourself like never before. A Buddhist retreat will help you to see your life more clearly, it will enable you to understand the actions of others more clearly allowing your to respect others and encourage others to respect you. The Sadananda Buddhist Society provides you with an alternative of either three, five or ten day retreats. We provide small group retreats throughout the year, seven days a week, this enables persons with differing schedules to enjoy our Buddhist retreats at any time of year. You will have the opportunity to escape your busy schedule and experience and learn about the real life of a Buddhist as Buddha wanted you to achieve, you will learn the pure ways of the Buddha as they where over 2500 years ago and you will realise how Buddhism will easily fit into your modern day life style. You will learn the Dharma the true words of wisdom spoken by the Buddha. You will swiftly be able to recite the Buddhist Puja, Buddhist Poetry that is recited during the ceremony prior to meditation. All of your experiences that you will achieve during your retreat you will be able to continue with and incorporate into your every day life when you return from your retreat. At any time after your retreat is over you will be able to return to the Buddhist House to experience further retreats to either learn more about Buddhism or to relieve yourself of any future difficult experience in your life. Your life will feel regenerated after experiencing a Sadananda Buddhist Society retreat. We hope that you will come and stay with us here at the Sadananda Buddhist House and enjoy the experience of our Buddhist Retreats. Caribbean Retreats European Sri Lanka Retreats
