The way of the Lord Buddha is achievable easily with the assistance of Buddhist Meditation.

Buddhist meditation helps to promote calmness into our lives, it is seen as a period of time out away from our very busy lives.

Meditation is not to be seen as a replacement for ones way of life, meditation is there to help you through your life.

It will not prevent you from suffering in life however, it can help you through those periods of suffering, whether it be illness, bereavement, injury or any other painful experiences in ones life.

You will be able to see life more clearly, you will be able to make more correct decisions in your life.

You will be able to face the challenges that come before you in life, without fear or error and if errors are made you will have strength of mind to know that you will try harder next time to get it right.

You will learn to be able to control pain from injury in some cases without the need for medication.

An example of pain control, was when one of the Sadananda Buddhist Society members was stung on his ankle by a swarm of wasps, on a hot summers day whilst digging upo the roots of a old tree, at that time he only had on sandals and shorts, he did not notice the wasps nest below the roots, after the wasps had swiftly dispersed, he was able to reassure himself that there was no pain, within moments the pain swiftly turned to warmth after a short period the pain departed.

Another member hit his finger with a hammer, he had the strength of mind from many months of Buddhist Meditation too tell himself that there was no pain and the pain turned to warmth.

Buddhism can help us in so many ways during our life, something one has to experience for ones self. You cannot just listen and learn from another Buddhists experiences, you have to experience the joys of Buddhism for yourself.
